Quotas

Foundry has quotas for the amount of compute you can provision for Compute Blocks and Spot Instances. If you need to increase your quotas, reach out to us on Slack or [e-mail]. Quotas may be checked on the Quotas tab.

Compute Blocks quotas are the max number of forward-looking reserved instance hours. For example, if your quota for an 8x A100 instance is 72 instance hours, you can reserve 1 instance for 72 hours or 4 instances for 18 hours (you pick the shape of your compute). If you were halfway through your 72 hour reservation, you would have freed up 36 hours in your quota as this is only accounting for future-reserved hours.

Spot Instances quotas are simply the max number of concurrent instances you can have allocated at a given time. For example, if your quota for 8x A100 instance is 4 instances, you may only be allocated 4 8x A100 instances across all your bids.
