Billing overview

Foundry uses Stripe to ensure a secure, trusted billing experience for reservations and spot orders.

Paying by card is subject to a 2.9% fee; ACH payments do not incur any additional fee.

Spot usage billing

All spot instance usage is billed at the end of the month based on the actual used hours of compute. The billed price dynamically changes based on the market and is applied equally to everyone (i.e., no entity is paying less or more for the same instance type at any given time). The billed price is not your limit price, but rather the price based on a second-price auction mechanism.

Reservation billing

Payment is required up front to finalize any reservation. To ensure your reservation is secured, complete the checkout flow after configuring your reservation. If your organization would like to purchase credits in advance so that each reservation does not require a new transaction, please reach out to your account team directly via Slack or email [e-mail].

Storage billing

Storage is billed based on the disks you have provisioned at $0.08/GB/month. For example, if you create 3 disks, each 3TB, the monthly cost would be 3 disks x 3072 GB x $0.08/GB = $737.28. This amount will be added to your monthly invoice. If you only use the storage for part of the month, it will be prorated accordingly. You will be billed regardless of the actual usage of the disk.

Credits

You can view the remaining credits on your account under Settings > Credits. Note that making reservations will live-update your credits, but spot usage will not. Your spot usage bill is calculated monthly and subtracted from credits once a month.
